The company’s mission: The company’s mission: To create unique, quality, French-inspired pieces one can accumulate over time to reflect a personalized eclectic lifestyle. We strive to excel beyond the expectations of each customer.

As a family-owned furniture manufacturer, French Heritage began in 1981 in Los Angeles by Jacques and Henessy Wayser, a husband and wife team. Today, the Wayers continue to own and manage the company.

When co-founder, Jacques was a child in France, he and his siblings would follow their parents on weekly visits to the Paris antique market and throughout the French and English countryside. During this time, Jacques recognized how beautifully made antique furniture remained. After migrating to the U.S., Jacques, along with his American-born fashion-model wife, Henessy, developed a vision to create a furniture company that specialized in French-inspired heirloom pieces utilizing the same techniques once employed by master craftsmen in Europe.

Jacques’ expertise in French-styled furniture merged well with Henessy’s flair for style and infusing the creative excitement of the fashion industry into their company. Today, that focus on fashion, craftsmanship, and a desire to inspire, transform, and customize remains. Admitted perfectionists, Jacques and Henessy pride themselves on being very involved in the manufacturing and marketing of their product line, respectively.
